MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Metal-Matic Inc., a progressive and major manufacturer in the steel tubing industry, has immediate openings for 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians.
GENERAL
Performs duties to promptly troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Receives assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor/Plant Engineer or the shift Supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remove, repair, install and adjust all types of parts on the plant machinery so equipment functions properly.
- Examine machine problems and promptly advises the Maintenance Supervisor/Department Manager of the findings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams Install and repair light plumbing.
- Receive and store tools and spare parts.
- Use large variety of hand and power tools.
- Communicates with other shifts regarding the status of operations, equipment, repairs, tooling, etc.
- Must be available for overtime as required, and must be available to work any shift.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Maintain a CLEAN, ORGANIZED and SAFE work area.
- Various other duties as directed by shift Supervisor/Department Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Verifiable evidence of previous experience/training in industrial maintenance, including all of the following trades: electrical, mechanical, welding, cutting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Must have satisfactory results on the Company Maintenance Tests.
- Thorough knowledge of all production and support equipment in the plant and demonstrated ability to promptly and correctly assess problems and restore equipment to good operating equipment.
- Must have Maintenance B training or equivalent Forklift Certified.
- Must possess a complete set of hand tools upon completion of probationary period.
