COMPANY PROFILE:
This is a company that was purchased from a large player in the automotive market. They retained a significant amount of the staff and have a strong customer base with recognized clients such as John Deere and Navistar.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
This individual will be responsible for customer management including sales and new business development for a major automotive OEM.
  • Manage current business while developing new opportunities for additional business
  • Primary Customer Contact in North America
  • Represent the voice of the company within the company
  • Build relationships with customers at all levels and in all departments
  • Develop sales strategies, objectives, execute and implementation of strategies, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate revenue forecasts and communicate with internal senior leadership. (This position reports direct to the Sr. VP of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.
  • Understand customer cycle plans, technology trends, and organizational structure to build relationships and provide growth opportunities
  • Develop and implement an effective growth strategy, understand the technical product and drive revenue growth.
  • Negotiated and communicate with customers
  • Monitor accounts receivable activity ensuring recovery of costs
  • Participate in internal cross-functional team
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitors
  • BACKGROUND PROFILE:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4year college or university and 5 or more years automotive manufacturing sales experience working with North American OEMs.
  • Proficient in MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with both Windows and Mac operating systems desired
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to stand up to the customer
  • Experience with Powertrain product line strongly preferred
  • Experience with medium and light truck industry a plus
  • Domestic Travel: 60 by road
  • Must be a self-starter with a desire to succeed and excel
