Job Description

iXsystems is seeking talented, experienced and self-driven storage Account Executives to join the already high-performing TrueNAS and FreeNAS Account Management Team. The role is supported by Inside Sales and Sales Engineering to help new customers through the iXsystems consultative and technical sales process of acquiring enterprise data center storage solutions using TrueNAS and FreeNAS storage arrays. The chief objectives are to generate net new business through fielding inbound inquiries, proactive business development, and growing iXsystems network of customer accounts.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Generate growth around iXsystems' full portfolio of hybrid and all flash unified storage arrays

  • Effectively communicate and present the iXsystems company vision, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy in all communication forms

  • Handle a complex and technical medium-term sales process from lead to quote to close to maintenance, support, and advocacy

  • Generate revenue by developing business and securing long-term customer relationships and referrals by demonstrating a steadfast commitment to providing an amazing customer experience by becoming your customers' Trusted Advisor

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

  • Telecommuting possible for the right candidate


 

Skills, Experience and Education Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in B2B sales for both large and small organizations where brand recognition may not be strong

  • 2+ years experience in Storage Sales and/or Datacenter Technologies

  • Proven track record of handling complex solution sales and medium-long sales cycles

  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota while maintaining customer loyalty and required product margins.

  • Comfortable being the "underdog" and not just leveraging a name brand to open doors

  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, planning, and time management skills.

  • A positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to be both self-reliant and a team player

  • Background in Open Source Technologies a plus

  • Familiarity with FreeNAS a major plus

  • Four-Year Degree Preferred
