We are currently seeking Conference Center Associates to join our team, supporting our client, a prestigious investment bank in Manhattan. We are looking for professional, polished associates who thrive in fast paced environments.

Job Qualifications:          Experience in food service industry(restaurant preferably)or catering; Detail-oriented; Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively; Must have pleasant and motivating attitude; Able to negotiate stressful situations with poise and tact; Able to work quickly and efficiently within assigned timeframes

Essential Functions:

1.       SETTING UP AND BREAKING DOWN OF MEETING ROOMS

Follows assigned meeting schedule and sets up meeting rooms according to host specifications, using fine china, glassware, utensils, and all other items needed to create a fine dining atmosphere.

Ensures that all meeting rooms are cleaned and reset promptly after the meeting has closed.

2.       SPECIAL EVENTS

Provides assistance in setting up for special events, and breaking down of all equipment following the event.

Provides replenishment of food and beverages throughout the course of the event.

Removes all used items (plates, glasses, napkins) throughout the course of the event.

Provides passed hors d’oeuvre service throughout the course of the event.

3.       CROSS-TRAINING

Provides light assistance with A/V, Porter, and Reception support as needed.

Exceptional Customer Service Associate will be mentored in Conference Center Lead responsibilities, in order to provide support coverage as needed.

4.       COMMUNICATION

Informs the Conference Center Lead of any maintenance issues in the meeting rooms, supplies that need to be reordered, and of any client complaints/issues. Informs teammates of any unfinished tasks or of instances where additional support is needed.

 

5.       MAINTENANCE

Restocks office supplies in meeting rooms daily.

Restocks beverages in pantries daily.

Uses floor sweeper in between meetings.

Maintains cleanliness and order in the kitchen area.

Setup and maintain the coffee station during the hours of operation.
