The Ladies and Gents of L’Auberge willrepresent and highlight the L’Auberge Lake Charles brand by offering a continuous entertainment experience for guests of L’Auberge Lake Charles and the general public through hosting, beverage and food service, entertainment routines, modeling and public relations activities.
Responsibilities
(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.)
+ Welcomes and hosts guests of L’Auberge du Lac and provides assistance during their visit, including providing information pertaining to L’Auberge du Lac and local attractions.Also assists guests in obtaining services available at L’Auberge du Lac.
+ Serves complimentary beverages to gaming and other guests at regular intervals, as established by the department.
+ Serves beverages and food for cash, room charge, 2 for 1, etc. in lounge areas and restaurants.
+ Hosts and offers beverages and food in a professional “on-stage” and entertaining fashion while promoting brand recognition.
+ Models, appears in television, radio, and print (including billboards) advertisements and performs public relations activities.
+ Performs individual or group entertainment routines similar to a Las Vegas presentation at designated Property or off-Property locations.
+ Performs all duties in a polite, professional and responsible manner, including but not limited to immediately alerting management of guests who are intoxicated, unruly or disruptive, as well as strictly enforcing the minimum age policy.
COSTUME REQUIREMENTS
This position involves direct contact and interaction with guests of the casino resort as well as the general public to which the L’Auberge du Lac brand will be promoted. Accordingly, the position requires strict adherence to grooming and appearance requirements as well as compliance with pre-assignment makeup and outfitting requirements.

Upon acceptance into the Ladies and Gents of L’Auberge program; your weight will be documented and checked at regular intervals, with results of each weigh- in placed in your file in accordance with company policy. Team members are expected to maintain their weight gain within five percent (5%) of their original hired weight as part of the monthly weigh-in guidelines or new weight due to the age bracket adjustment. Weight Chart includes a three percent (3%) differential per age bracket.
Team members may adjust their original hired weight allowed by three percent (3%), (up or down) upon reaching a new age category. Team member weight adjustments (up or down), may occur only (once) within that new age category.
L’Auberge du Lac’s height/weight policy shall be subject to exceptions as required by law. If special circumstances require that you be exempt from the height/weight limitations, you should notify management immediately. Life changing adjustments (at management’s discretion and only upon a showing of necessity), may include but are not limited to pregnancy and accommodations required by state or federal disability laws. Team Members returning from FMLA/Personal LOA and/or Louisiana Pregnancy Act leave will be allowed up to (6) weeks after returning to work to achieve a weight within five percent (5%) of their original hired weight or new weight due to the age bracket adjustment.
L’Auberge du Lac intends to give Team members ample opportunity to satisfy the guidelines. Team members who have not met the weight requirements will be offered 30 days to meet the guidelines. Team members who fail to satisfy the weight requirement will have the opportunity to seek a transfer to another department or position, if a position for which the Team Member is qualified is open and available. Otherwise, the Team Member will be suspended and if necessary, terminated.
GROOMING REQUIREMENTS
In addition to weight restrictions, this position requires strict adherence to grooming requirements including the following:
+ Men and women shall at all times appear neat, clean and well groomed.
+ Men and women shall style their hair as requested by management. At no time shall men permit their hair to reach below the top of their shirt collar. Women may wear their hair up or down. All hair styling shall be subject to management approval.
+ Visible tattoos are prohibited in all areas other than Jack Daniels Bar & Grill (management digression).
+ Women may only wear jewelry approved by management before commencement of each shift. Men may not wear jewelry of any kind. Notwithstanding the above, men and women may wear a traditional wrist watch and wedding band and/or ring.
+ Men and women shall wear outfits provided and approved by management. Women may be required to wear high heel shoes.
+ Women’s nails shall be manicured and no longer than one-half inch from end of finger. Men shall maintain short nails. Nail polish by men is prohibited. Women shall wear nail polish in colors approved by management.
+ Women shall wear makeup in a manner approved by management prior to commencement of each shift. Use of makeup by males is prohibited.
+ Men’s hair must not be longer than the top of the shirt collar. L’Auberge du Lac does not allow men to have a ponytail of any length. Men with cornrows, braids and twists must be straight from top of head to base of neck without patterns and cannot extend more than 1 ½ inches below hairline and /or past the top of the shirt collar. Beards, goatees, mustaches and sideburns must be neatly trimmed and follow the natural contour of the face. Women shall maintain their legs and underarms in a clean, shaven manner.
+ Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and all levels of employees.
+ This position requires work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
+ Ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout all work areas, including the casino floor, restaurants and bar areas.
+ Ability to stand and walk while carrying a serving tray, weighing up to 10 pounds, throughout an 8-hour shift and serve drinks and food to L’Auberge du Lac customers.
+ Ability to document and comprehend drink and food orders.
+ Ability to adapt to various venues in an entertainment capacity.
+ Ability to work in aharmonious and cooperative fashion with guests, staff, vendors and other organizations, including brand representatives.
+ Ability to utilize prescribed showroom quality uniforms, costumes, jewelry, make-up and equipment.
+ Ability to learn practice and perform choreographed dance routines and similar entertainment.
+ Ability to perform entertainment routines before large audiences.
+ Ability to satisfy grooming and appearance requirements, including compliance with weight chart reproduced above and maintaining weight on date of hire.
Qualifications
Prior training/education/experience in one or more of the following:
Dancing, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Public relations, modeling
successful competition in a casting call.
Prior experience in beverage service or hosting.
Must be 18 years of age.
The skills and abilities necessary to perform within this position are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or through related experience.
