Description

Overview: Staples Business Advantage, the contract and commercial division of Staples Inc. is currently expanding the role of our B2B Sales Consultants. In this business to business role, you will use your skills as a “hunter” to prospect for and set your own appointments with potential business customers, developing new accounts and further expanding our customer base. Our Account Management team will then take over each new account while you continue to do what you do best - winning new premium membership accounts. What you’ll do in this role?

+ Lead Generation: Using your outstanding “hunting” skills prospect and qualify potential customers for Staples Premium Membership. Exhibit effective appointment setting skills and set the required number of appointments each week with the correct decision makers.

+ Effective Selling Skills: Effectively communicate Staples value propositions regarding system capabilities, Staples Premium Membership and category sales in facilities, furniture, technology and print. Following the Staples Way selling process, present solutions intended to meet potential customer’s business needs. Capable of overcoming objections and closing the sale. Visits customers in their workplace.

+ Internal Partnerships: Set up new customers in a timely fashion and smoothly transition them to the Customer Experience Specialist team. Keep accurate and up to date notes in all Staples systems to ensure internal partners are set up to successfully handle the new account.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Skills

+ Ability and motivation to find, develop, and close sales

+ Demonstrated work ethic, self-disciplined

+ Strong organization and time management skills

+ Ability to succeed in a competitive selling or goal oriented environment

+ Ability to be coached and to incorporate feedback

+ Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

+ Professional appearance and demeanor

+ Outgoing, passionate, friendly, assertive

+ Must have reliable transportation and able to lift up to 10 pounds

Preferred Skills

+ College degree

+ 1 – 3 years of successful sales experience

+ Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM), a plus

+ Industry knowledge, a plus

+ Local travel required, ability to carry 5 lbs
