Description:

Position Summary:

Cashiers sell a variety of souvenirs to guests. Cashiers are flexible, willing to help out wherever needed. This position requires individuals with a high attention to detail, accurate cashier skills, and a strong dedication to customer service along with a positive and friendly attitude.

Essential Functions:

+ Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with Company policies and procedures:

+ Operates cash register, rings up sale, collects monies from customers for meal purchases and gives change as necessary

+ Operates charge/debit computer terminal, debiting the food charge/debit

+ Verifies charges by students against food contract cards

+ Balance cash/points/flex at end of service counter duty

+ Ability to process basic mathematics

+ Calculate daily sales with management

+ Recognize & suggest up-selling opportunities, communicate specials and promotions

+ Maintain a clean and well organized station

+ Assist in the training of new Cashier, cross training other associates

+ Maintain and record daily inventory for specific location, unpack, restock inventory

+ Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail

+ Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times by practicing Aramark WEST standards with each guest

+ Consistently practices Aramark Values

+ Communicate in a friendly and professional manner

+ Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments

+ Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork

+ Adhere to all Department of Health and Safety laws and regulations

+ Adhere to company policies, procedures, and practice loss prevention efforts

+ Adhere to time and attendance policies

+ Adhere to uniform policies, including proper protective equipment

+ Ability to stand for entire shift, not including break periods

+ Assist other departments when required

+ Performs other related duties as required

Status and Scope:

+ Position requires the ability to multi-task, a strong customer service focus, strong communication skills, attention to detail focus and a positive attitude

+ Position Reports to Retail Manager

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

+ Must be fluent in the English language both spoken and written – able to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, Aramark Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

+ Basic mathematical skills are required – must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide

+ Previous Customer Service experience preferred

+ Should be able to work all department shifts

+ Basic understanding of cash handling

+ Good customer service skills and a pleasant manner

+ Good organizational skills

Equipment Used:

POS System, Calculator, Telephone

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)

Lifting Requirements:

LIGHT - Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 pounds
