Description

Patients Medical Center (PMC) provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services—wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women’s services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists in daily retail operations; Accountable for inventory procurement and management; will ensure that customers are assisted in a timely and accurate manner. The position will have responsibility for completing appropriate reports to Accurately reflect current retail performance.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Licensure

Required:

High School Diploma/GED

Minimum Experience

One (1) year of customer service experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Retail/selling skills

Basic knowledge of arithmetic and operating a cash register

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage store inventory control system using retail software to receive and process all merchandise in compliance with policy. Handle problems with vendors on missing or damaged merchandise

2. Assist in developing marketing strategies, including planning for sales as well as visual merchandising in the store and throughout the hospital

3. Prepare and submit all accounts receivable and accounts payable documentation in accordance with policy. This includes check requests, deposits, monthly journal entry information and processing payroll deduction forms

4. Provide retail transaction support

5. Develop and implement systems for analyzing operational effectiveness, providing monthly reports as requested.
