Position Summary:Receives payments from patients for hospital and medical services rendered. Explains charges, records payments, and reconciles daily transaction reports. Disburses cash, stores patient items for safekeeping. Serves as a financial support staff member by utilizing the patient accounting process in collaboration with other members of the healthcare system. Must effectively interact with co-workers, facility staff members and other healthcare professionals in problem solving patient account issues. In the course of processing accounts, will be accountable for demonstrating excellent technical skills and judgment and ensuring documentation of all transactions per departmental guidelines.

Minimum Requirements: Healthcare experience preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications:High School Diploma or equivalent
