ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Compliance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate duties with the Compliance Manager
This position is responsible for assisting with the implementation and on-going management of mortgage compliance as it relates to HMDA reporting, aged pipeline reports, HMDA scrub and withdrawn/declined loan tracking. Other duties as assigned or needed.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
1. Manage the aged pipeline reports. Notifying and following up with branch managers, originators and processors of loans in the pipeline that exceed regulatory guidelines.
2. Manage the declined/cancelled loan reports. Mailing declination notices to borrowers per established guidelines as well as uploading notices for both denied and withdrawn loans into DataTrac.
3. Monitor HMDA data and verify documentation for HMDA reporting is accurately showing in DataTrac
4. Communicate with underwriters and management regarding discrepancies with HMDA actions
5. Review the Loan Application Register (LAR) on a quarterly basis for accuracy
6. Provide guidance for originators, assistants, and processors to confirm HMDA information is being reported correctly
7. Review and resolve findings from internal and external audits
8. Review new quality & compliance requirements from investors and state and federal regulators
9. Appraisal desk coverage when the appraisal desk coordinator is absent

10. Pull and return of files in the vault as needed
11. Assist with writing policies and procedures

12. Create and copy training materials for quality and compliance matters
13. Special Projects

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • College degree or related job experience preferred
  • Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze data and apply logic
  • Good organizational ability
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Meet deadline requirements in a fast paced environment
  • Moderate Computer Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
