Promotes, mission, vision and values of Saint Joseph Hospital Assess, plan, implement and evaluate breastfeeding management for patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings by utilizing the nursing process Maintains clinical expertise on subjects related to lactation including current standards of practice Assist in development of breastfeeding programs and assess educational needs of the healthcare team at ESJH Refers patients as needed for further evaluation and treatment Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and requirements Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelinesQualifications Graduate of an approved school of nursing required, BSN preferred. 2-3 years of recent maternal/child nursing preferred Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Colorado IBCLC Certification (or within 2 years of hire) American Heart Association BCLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
