We are currently recruiting for a Legal Recruiting Coordinator (LRC) to assist with various legal recruiting activities for our client, a prestigious law firm in the Loop. Candidates with sufficient experience may also be considered for the title of Senior Coordinator. The LRC will assist with facilitation of the summer associate program and on-campus recruiting program for the Chicago office. The LRC also works closely with the firm’s Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting on lateral partner recruiting and with Chicago-based Legal Recruiting Manager on post-clerk hiring and lateral associate recruiting.
This role is a non-exempt position, based in Chicago. The work schedule for this position is 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, with additional hours as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Summer Program
Maintains summer associate files and paperwork
Coordinates with internal firm departments on the arrival of summer associates including office assignments, arrival and departure processes
Coordinates with internal firm departments, including marketing, HR and facilities, on summer associate program documents
Maintains all summer associate-related ViDesktop profiles
Assists with coordination of summer associate events
Manages/creates invitations for special events
On-Campus Recruiting
Schedules callback interviews
Develops recruiting materials and brochures
Processes recruiting expenses as needed
Manages/creates invitations for special events
Coordinate with career services offices regarding relevant law school information
Prepares binders, etc., for on-campus interviews
Maintains all on-campus recruiting related ViDesktop profiles
Lateral Recruiting
Coordinating candidate outreach, interviews and follow-up for post-clerk and lateral associate hiring in Chicago
Assigns and tracks follow-up with candidates with offers
General Matters
Assists with surveys
Attends and participates in recruiting strategy and planning meetings, as needed
Tracks applicant data
Maintains ViDesktop database and creates candidate tracking reports
Coordinates review of ViDesktop updates
Assists with website enhancement for recruiting purposes (extranet), including collaboration with web editors to update internal and external recruiting websites
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENT
Required
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of recruiting experience in a law firm environment
Proficiency in Word, Excel
Prior experience with database management
