Job description

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Promotes and markets the Casino’s social events, promotions, and other Casino programs to new and existing customers.
2. Increases the growth of gaming revenues through development of a targeted guest base.
3. Issues Player’s Club cards and promotes the program.
4. Effectively handles guest complaints and discrepancies in an efficient and courteous manner.
5. Maintains extensive knowledge of casino and gaming commission policies, procedures, guidelines, decision-making concepts, principles, and processes, and the ability to apply them properly and effectively.
6. Keeps informed of competitive promotions.
7. Works cohesively with all departments for the benefit of Casino operations and employee/customer relations.
8. Maintains integrity of games in designated area.
9. Understands and is responsible for department and Company policy and procedure pertaining to all games.
10. Coordinates props, foodservers, porters, and runners to ensure customer service needs are met.
11. Makes decisions in gaming disputes.
12. Notifies the Section Supervisor or Poker Supervisor of any suspicious or unusual activity.
13. Ensures games are adequately supplied with customers.
14. Starts new games in manner prescribed by company policy when appropriate.
15. Maintains proper communication with Section Supervisors when starting and breaking games.
16. Maintains good public and employee relations.
17. Safeguards the confidential nature of all departmental and general property records.
18. Responsible for keeping assigned section safe and orderly.
19. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Shift Manager or Section/Poker Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma
Work Experience: At least 1 (one) year of work experience in Casino gaming operations.

Required to walk and stand for at least (8) hours per shift. Must be able to lift ten (10) pounds for various job related duties. Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated ethical decisions as necessary. Must be able to resolve conflicts and have effective communication skills with all levels of employees and be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
