General Statement of Job
The Security Coordinator assists in the management of field operations and functions in assigned areas. These include but are not limited to, emergency preparedness and response, client liaison, administrative audit and compliance, badging, access control and special projects as assigned. In Addition, the Security Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks related to monitoring the safety and security of all client employees, guests, assets and infrastructure. All duties must be performed in accordance with client policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal regulations. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in oversight of day-to‐day security operations including staffing, training, evaluations, time management, and maintenance of department procedures
  • Operate and monitor computer workstations and emergency systems; administer and maintain access control systems and databases
  • Dispatch and coordinate response to security incidents, accidents or hazardous conditions and manage related investigations and documentation of said incidents
  • Respond in a timely manner to emergency events, issues, deficiencies and client requests
  • Liaise with client's corporate management in order to execute and manage projects to support all Safety and Security programs
  • Assist in partnerships with client location representatives to ensure proper utilization and execution of security programs
  • Assure compliance with general and post orders
  • Assist in office event coordination with the client to meet and address any safety and security needs
  • Responsible for ensuring that all employees, vendors and visitors on company property have proper issued identification
  • Ensure a safe and secure workplace for the client, personnel and guests
  • Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, or other related business discipline highly preferred
  • Must have current New York State Guard license
  • Must complete and maintain guard certification as prescribed by NY State Division of Licensing Services; All documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
  • Minimum 2 years in corporate safety and security supervision or executive administration
  • Law enforcement or military experience preferred
  • Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays
  • Must have effective time management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, organizational skills, project management, and leadership skills
  • Dynamic experience in crisis and incident response, focusing on ability to maintain calm and efficiency in high-pressure settings
  • Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service
