We are seeking a Nights and Weekend On-Call Care Coordinator for our Stockton office. Visiting Angels has built an excellent reputation in the surrounding communities and we are in need of a dedicated Care Coordinator preferably with a background in the medical field as well as hands-on experience with scheduling. The On-Call Care Coordinator will provide outstanding customer service when speaking with all individuals and possess excellent interpersonal skills to promote solid relationships with our caregiver staff as well as our clients. It is also important for this individual to be a skilled problem solver and have the ability to maintain a degree of flexibility to uphold company policies and scheduling procedures. This Care Coordinator will be on call Monday thru Thursday nights from 5:30 pm until the next morning at 9 am and weekends from Friday at 5:30 pm until Monday at 9 am in handling all urgent caregiver or client issues that develop out side office hours.

This professional individual will be an extension of our dynamic Care Department. Responsibilities primarily involve scheduling of caregivers and client jobs when sudden changes occur with client care or caregiver availability. Most issues are resolved telephonically and the majority of on call duties can be handled remotely. We strive to provide quality service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Duties may include occasional situations that require the On-Call Care Coordinator to conduct new client meetings, caregiver introductions at a client home if a new caregiver is scheduled, or caregiver fill-ins if a replacement caregiver cannot arrive at the scheduled start time. This individual will need to be well organized, capable of handling pressure situations with ease and must have excellent telephone manner and communication skills to handle caregiver and client needs. Other responsibilities involve documentation of all on-call activity and proficient communication with the office staff when reporting in each morning.

Comprehensive training for this position will require working with our Care Department in our Stockton office for the necessary duration of time needed to understand scope of job responsibilities.

Requirements:

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with great time management skills
Must have ability to multi-task and problem-solve in pressure situations
Must be self-motivated with the initiative to handle situations in a professional manner
Must be a team player!
Computer proficient (MS Word & Excel)


1-3 years in Medical/Healthcare field preferred
Background in customer service a plus!
