Our mid-size, fast pace Company is looking for a tenured, driven HR professional. This position is a true generalist and will be very hands on. The Director of People Operations is both a strategic and hands-on collaborator that provides Human Resources support to both a core and a multi-location managed services staff. The position is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal and external customer support and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The Director of People Operations is a champion of culture change, a mentor and leader, coaching managers in development of others, challenging the status quo, and offering creative solutions to business issues.

Quest for knowledge, ability to research, and apply solutions to unique fact patterns. Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization. 

What You Will Do 
Partner with leadership to identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for process improvement in alignment with HR strategy and initiatives. Develop a scalable approach to HR Operations in line with business needs, culture and values, including relevant programs addressing global programs, compliance and processes. Develop and maintain policies and programs for the entire company spanning organizational development, employment, training, employee relations, compensation, performance management, benefits, safety and health. Improving and maintaining high customer service levels throughout the organization. Serve as an employee representative for our growing multi-location Managed Services department. Responsible for all stages of the employee on-boarding, orientation and exit process. You have the ability to create incremental change. Systems implementation experience. Stays abreast of federal, state, and agency compliance matters and serves as an expert in state and federal labor law compliance. Some global knowledge is helpful. Policy development and documentation. The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company. All other tasks and duties assigned 

Education and Experience 
Basics 
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, business or HR major preferred. Master's Degree in HR or MBA a plus. 
• 10+ year's human resources experience 
• Current PHR/SPHR certificate 
Preferred 
• Experience in the media and entertainment industry is a plus. 
• Experience with Paylocity is a plus, but not required. 
• Global HR experience is a plus 

Working Conditions and Physical Demands 
• Office environment; little exposure to weather conditions 
• Required to sit for long periods of time 
• Infrequent light physical effort required 
• 10% Travel Required 

Reports to: President with a dotted line to the VP of Managed Services
