Stanbridge University is seeking a qualified candidate to be a full-time Director for the BSN and MSN programs. Reporting directly to the CEO/President, the Director is responsible for the development, coordination and monitoring of the registered nursing faculty and students. The right candidate must have the ability to proactively identify problems and seek solutions through creative and critical thinking and must have ability to obtain, analyze, and apply data. Essential Functions:
· Work effectively with diverse populations.
· Direct the instructional staff to assure instruction is provided that follows the approved curriculum, achieves program objectives and attains desired outcomes.
· Interview and select staff members and provide in-service training and professional development for instructors as well as plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, reward and coach employees, address complaints and resolve problems.
· Investigate and provide suggested solutions to student and staff issues.
· Recommend class schedules, instructor assignments and resolution of personnel issues.
· Evaluate the curriculum, instruction, and instructional resources of the program.
· Represent the institution at professional activities.
· Enhance current knowledge and skills through attending conferences and courses, reading journals and engaging in independent study.
· Perform all responsibilities in accordance with the regulations of the Board of Registered Nursing regulations and the policies and procedures of the college.
Qualifications:
· A doctorate’s degree from an accredited college or university, which includes course work in nursing, education or administration.
· Two years of experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure registered nursing programs.
· Equivalent experience and/or education, as determined by the Board.
