Clinical Director
POSITION SCOPE & SUMMARY:
The Clinical Director is responsible for all clinical operations and for providing leadership, direction and supervision to all clinical staff at our southern California multi-location specialty behavioral health programs for those suffering from alcohol and drug dependency and dual disorders. This role is responsible for ensuring quality treatment, patient satisfaction with the smooth and fiscally responsible operations of the clinical teams at the programs. This person is accountable for the overall quality of and delivery of clinical services to all patients in our programs.
Essential Functions
Ability to:
· Effectively and succinctly communicate complex processed and recommendations to senior management and staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited School; Masters’ Degree with appropriate area of specialization preferred.
Experience: Applicant must have 8+ years’ experience in addiction, substance abuse, psychology, mental health or social work. Candidate must have previous managerial/supervisory experience in addiction treatment. Years of progressively responsible work experience in health care or facilities or management for multi-site operations; at least two (2) of these in the specialty area of behavioral health or treatment programs (i.e. inpatient eating disorder or psychiatric settings, chemical or alcohol dependency). At least one year in a supervisory capacity. Experience with medication assisted therapy, group and individual therapy.
OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs ongoing job expectations in accordance with RiverMend Health’s strategies and operating guidelines.
· Adheres and complies with all RiverMend policies/standards whether internal, regulatory, legal, etc.
· Maintains privacy of all company information and safeguards it confidentiality at all times.
PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS:
· Physical Demands – While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, balance, crouch and crawl and to taste and smell; is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; is occasionally required to maintain body balance while ascending or descending, and to maintain body equilibrium while bending at the waist or at the knees. Must be able to work long or irregular hours, and must be capable of on-site response to all manner of emergencies arising at any hour of any day.
