Job description

We are looking for a Sales Director to join Ria Financial in the Midwest. The ideal candidate would reside in Chicago, IL or Indianapolis, IL (no remote opportunities available).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Director's responsibilities will include but are not be limited to the following:

  • Responsible for setting sales targets, directing and delivering on strategies to grow transaction, revenue and EBIT and identifying service quality areas for improvement.
  • Achieves individual sales goals and leads the sales team utilizing the company’s marketing and sales philosophies and techniques to successfully achieve sales goals.
  • Establishes and maintains a high-performing team environment where a collaborative and supportive setting leads to achieving and exceeding sales goals and objectives.
  • Accountability for the P&L, responsibility for maximizing market penetration, profitable transaction volumes and line management of the sales team.

LEADERSHIP

  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Management Team to ensure success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Responsible for hiring, training and development, counseling, coaching, oversight, and performance evaluation of the sales staff.
  • Oversee training of all staff on sales techniques, policies and procedures.

SALES OPERATIONS

  • Lead a diverse team (both multi-ethnic and from a skill perspective), developing successors, providing direction and thought leadership and delivering results.
  • Review and analyze performance and competitive data, develop expansion plans, and deliver on these by allocating resources accordingly.
  • Develop and implement sales, pricing, marketing and merchandising plans to achieve revenue and profit goals across the country.
  • Cultivate new sales relationships; negotiate and acquire new agents.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of the competition and identify growth opportunities within the country (including new products).
  • Identify and resolve quality service issues in order to drive growth.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 7-10 years of sales experience in leadership and management of multiple salespeople.
  • Proven individual sales experience as a top producer; deliver under pressure and time frames.
  • Core competencies in customer focus, negotiation skills, strategic thinking and thought leadership, influence and persuasion as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Previous Financial Services or Money Transfer industry experience preferred.
  • Degree in Business
