Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in the electrical trade
  • Possess a strong electrical background with: Punch press controls, Programming PLC’s and associated equipment, Motor drive controls, Automated equipment and Robot controls
  • Ability to draw electrical prints
  • Must know how to build control panels
  • Have a strong understanding of various types of sensors
  • Familiarity with the National electrical code
  • Good understanding of electrical principles, motor controls, and control devices.
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic Programming to interface to VFD’s and Servo motor systems
  • Strong mechanical skills required

Responsibilities:

The purpose of this role is to design and develop PLC programs for Automated equipment. This person will be involved in all phases of troubleshooting and breakdowns on all manufacturing equipment. Responsible for the analysis, design, electrical designs, installation support, electrical installation, debugging and support of Automated equipment. Support internal efforts to develop standard PLC software modules.

  • Comply with all of the Companies Principles & Guidelines, as well as policies and procedures.
  • Debug electrical installation of controls and motor components
  • Monitor costs of electrical supplies being purchased to ensure the lowest cost
  • Integrate components via serial interfaces and Ethernet interfaces, Proficient with PC desktop applications (Office).
  • Support electrical installation via interfacing to electrical installers.
  • Troubleshoot all equipment and Program PLCs to support Manufacturing equipment and operations.
  • Develop PLC software for highly integrated system via communications interfaces to external systems such as servers, scanners, Remote I/O, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping all machine PLC programs backed up and properly saved to the network.
  • Ensure all electrical files are in order and up to date
  • Provide training to new hires and acclimate to Anchor’s procedures.
  • Serve as back up to Maintenance Supervisor and Manager in their absence.
  • Work with all Maintenance personnel on projects and breakdowns.
