We are currently seeking an End User Computing Engineer who is capable of working in a challenging environment and able to continuously innovate and work on solutions that make a real word difference to our clients. You will be working alongside our highly skilled technology team supporting our clients and employees. You will work alongside our senior IT team deploying, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting our multi-million dollar technology estate. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing solutions to increasingly complex problems, utilizing ingenuity, thoroughness, and practicality; and perform their work with minimal direction or oversight. The ideal candidate would also be outgoing, self-motivated, have great attention to detail, take initiative, and understand how their tasks align with business needs and prioritize accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in IT including network and/or systems administration for small to medium enterprise level companies
  • Experience supporting an end-user computing environment while demonstrating thorough knowledge of all common desktop operating systems and Windows Server environments
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to be empathetic, accurate, compassionate, responsive, resourceful, and conscientious
  • Experience with VMWare desktop computing solutions or other virtualization solutions and supporting thin client environments
  • Proven experience working with Active Directory and PowerShell
  • Demonstrated ability with mobility products including a basic understanding of encryption tools and best practices to safe-guard laptops and  mobile devices
  • Ability to understand, comply and enforce information security policies and
  • Flexible scheduling to provide as-needed support for escalated items from helpdesk
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts to including vLAN,, IP addressing/Subnetting, DNS, VPN, Wireless, and firewall and switch management
  • Familiarity of basic storage concepts including CIFS/SMB, NAS, raid groups, and basic block storage
  • Self-starter attitude, combined with the ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking with minimal supervision
