Description
Delphi's Safety Electronics group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.
In 2015, we took our first generation automated vehicle on a 3,000+ mile San Francisco to New York cross country autonomous drive. In 2016, we demonstrated autonomous urban driving on the streets of Las Vegas during the CES expo. This year at CES, we showcased the latest version of our automated platform by offering rides in four self-driving Audi SQ5s.
You can see highlights of our 6.3 mile urban and highway fully autonomous driving demo at CES 2017 as well as a summary of our technology at the links below:

Given the enormous data rates our autonomous vehicle sensor suite will generate, even 5G real-time streaming is impossible. This represents unique data flow, data usage, and storage challenges to be solved.
The Delphi Pittsburgh Technology Center (PTC) is currently seeking innovative embedded software engineers to tackle these challenges and help us set the foundation and direction for the future of our technology.
