SUMMARY

Serve as the Information Systems Security/Information Assurance Engineer in supporting our DoD Customer with the responsibilities in the functional area of Information Assurance. Posiiton is located in Lorton, VA (Washington DC area).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performance of the duties and responsibilities of the Information Assurance Engineer in accordance with Army Regulation 25-2 (AR 25-2), Cybersecurity.
  • Baseline certification as applicable and specified by AR 25-2, Cybersecurity and DoD 8570.01-M, Cybersecurity Training and Certification, Change 1 Chapters 3 - 5 and 10-11 and applicable guidance.
  • Supporting Incident Management identification and remediation requirements to include coordination with Computer Emergency Response Teams at regional, Army and DoD.
  • Conducting required Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) patching, scanning, vulnerability assessments and analysis using approved software and techniques
  • Preparing systems to be operated, upgraded, and sustained securely after fielding.
  • Reporting security violations and incidents to the servicing RCERT in accordance with Section VIII, Incident and Intrusion Reporting.
  • Enforcing system access, operation, maintenance, and disposition requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or Bachelors degree desired (years of experience may be substituted for degree)
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Security+ Certification
  • Must have experience with DoD Cybersecurity Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
  • Must have experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Knowledge of FISMA, FIPS, NIST, DCID 6/3, DoD 8500 series, and DoDAF
  • Experience with participation in enterprise security planning, design, implementation, operations, and assessment
  • Experience with requirements analysis, project planning, resource management, risk management, customer relationship management and strategic planning, quality assurance, enterprise-level systems deployment, software security architectures and best practices, and federal government security policies
  • Knowledge of policy, identity, privilege, and attribute management

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Must have a current Secret Clearance
