Position Summary

Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial heating systems, is looking for a skilled engineering technician for their Charlotte, NC headquarters. This is a hands-on position working with R&D/fabrication to create unique and customized heating solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests in accordance with the engineering specifications defined for the individual product.
  • Fabricate, build and test prototype heating equipment to regional standards.
  • Assist in the production of installation and operating instructions.
  • Assist in making sure that all products comply with applicable construction, design and safety standards.
  • Meet with vendors and contact new vendors to find alternate components or sources to be incorporated into new and existing products.
  • Responsible for making sure all test equipment is calibrated.
  • Assist Plant personnel in first run assembly of new products and provide assistance with plant equipment, jigs and fixtures as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: minimum associates degree in a technical field
  • PC skills to include: Excel and Word
  • Minimum experience: Mechanical aptitude is essential (hands on ability to test).
  • Ability to travel domestically and overseas.
  • Must be familiar with basic computer and math skills.
  • Must be able to speak and write effectively in the English language.
