Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with both internal and external departments on in stock inventory
  • Works closely with the material planning team forecasting production parts to avoid delinquencies for customer orders
  • Monitor Min/Max Inventory Levels
  • Great analytical skills
  • Design inventory optimization strategies
  • Communicate all production commits to all internal departments
  • Must be able to identify problems in supporting requirements and coordinate efforts of manufacturing and internal groups to prevent and/or resolve inventory issues
  • Coordinate processes with the master production schedule
  • Represent department in production meetings as backup to manager
  • Comply with Samson’s documented policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Other duties as specified by management

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of all production operations and product flow
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work well with people
  • Understanding Lean manufacturing principles
  • Commitment to continuous improvement concepts and practices
  • Excellent math skills essential
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with ERP system (IFS, SAP, etc.)

Education and/or Experience

  • Preferred Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 3-5 Years Inventory Control in Manufacturing environment and/or Industrial products

Certification, Licenses, Registrations

APICS - Preferred
