Job description

We are currently accepting applications for Foreman, Journeymen, and apprentice/helpers. Below are the criteria for each of the positions:

Foreman:

Foreman performs daily duties including ordering materials, managing all on site personnel, ensure complete safety compliance, completing daily logs and time cards and direct communication with the general contractor on site. Schedules, assigns, plans, and monitors the work of electrical personnel performing a variety of electrical projects. The foreman is responsible for overall quality control.

  • Need thorough understanding of NEC.
  • Able to read a set of blueprints.
  • Able to complete all job documentation in detail.
  • Ensures that subordinates are wearing and utilizing PPE.
  • Trains or informs employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, work policies and electrical codes and standards.
  • Knowledgeable of the tools, equipment and materials common to the electrical trade.
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations, NFPA70 and standard electrical safety practices.
  • Possess OSHA 10 certification and can complete OSHA 30 within 90 days of hire.

Journeymen:

Journeymen daily duties include but not limited to installation of conduit and conductors, placement of service entrance sections and panelboards, installation of wiring devices and back boxes, installation of lighting fixtures, trenching as appropriate, and other duties as assigned to install a complete electrical system.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner with attention to detail.
  • Cutting, bending, threading, and installing electrical conduit and materials.
  • Pulling wire through electrical conduit.
  • Terminating electrical panels, installing lighting fixtures, receptacles, and various electrical devices.
  • Installing and connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets or other components and systems.

Apprentices/Helpers:

Apprentices/helpers daily duties include, but are not limited to assisting the journeymen as required for a complete electrical system, develop knowledge base and skills to become a journeyman, understanding the principles of electrical component installations. Apprentices who are enrolled in the Apprenticeship Program are expected to have the skills and knowledge commensurate to their level in the program.

All candidates must adhere to the following in addition to position requirements:

  • Able to follows written and verbal instructions.
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Possess proper hand tools.
  • Uses equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to work and communicate with others effectively.
  • Be clean, professional in appearance, and have a positive professional attitude.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver's license and good driving record.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
  • Able to reach over-head.
