SUMMARY
This position handles the estimating of carpet, vinyl, ceramic tile, wood floors and wall tile for various types of commercial applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with General Contractors to download projects and communicate with them regarding questions on projects. Contact vendors in multiple states for pricing and put together a detailed spreadsheet of project bidding information. This position requires attention to detail and very short deadlines. This position requires being a multi-tasker.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of floor and wall coverings

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet

  • Knowledge of RFMS Measure estimating program is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

  • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Ability to follow through on projects/assignments

  • Good work ethic with initiative and motivation

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environment with multiple interruptions/distractions

  • Reliable team player with positive attitude

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • All other education is a plus!

  • Floor covering experience required.
