Job description

Leica Geosystems is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst partners with the Chief Financial Officer and Operations leadership to provide financial leadership, analysis and process improvements that enhance business results in support of the short-term and long-term financial goals, reducing liabilities and solidifying strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities
Business Operations Support:
 

  • Provide financial modeling, business case analysis and financial reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare financial data for complex projects such as planning and conducting financial studies to define performance plans for short and long-range goals.
  • Partner across the operational and finance functions to maximize financial performance and lead positive change throughout the organization.
  • Evaluate business opportunities to assess risks and advise management to ensure achievement of quarterly and annual financial goals.
  • Participate in the development of strategic and tactical operational objectives.
  • Develop financial forecasting models and recommend business systems/processes that strive for continuous improvement to business operations.
  • Provide concise and effective communication in a timely manner

Forecasting and Analysis:
 

  • Partner with Operational leadership in financial planning and forecasting processes.
  • Responsible for the monthly close process in conjunction with the Controlling team.
  • Provide analysis using existing business Information systems and other decision support tools to improve financial performance.
  • Provide risk analysis for throughout strategy development, tactical planning, and execution.
  • Provide analysis that anticipates change and drives decision making to favorable outcomes.
  • Develop a functional business productivity dashboard with ability to identify key business trends and performance metrics
  • Support effective and efficient system of internal controls including; data integrity, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems that adhere to corporate policies and governmental regulations.

 
Job Requirements
Required Experience:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Must have 6-10 years of finance and/or accounting experience
  • Demonstrated progressive financial forecasting and analysis experience
  • Demonstrated process focused and organized work style
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements
  • Developed business cases and engaging leaders at all levels of an organization
  • Experience with SAP, Excel and/or similar accounting systems and tools

Preferred Experience:
 

  • CPA/CMA certification or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
