We are looking for a results-oriented, ambitious, driven, self-starter with a track record of inside sales success! This inside sales role will be dedicated to achieving revenue targets for assigned school and library customers by using a variety of strategic sales initiatives. The professional, consultative inside sales representative will be passionate about inside sales and have the ability to create solutions that meet customer needs. Job Expectations—What Success Looks like…

  1. Identify sales opportunities through market research, email campaigning, cold calling, lead follow-up, field referrals, and other sources. Proactively contact prospects to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  2. Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, industry trends, and competition in order to effectively employ a consultative and needs-based approach to solution selling.
  3. Maintain current and accurate customer information by creating and managing contact and lead lists along with communication and purchase history.
  4. Create and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations using remote web-based technology that are tailored to specific customer needs.
  5. Support decision-makers and end-users by assisting in the creation and implementation of post-sale product training programs to ensure a high level of usage and customer satisfaction.
  6. Forecast and report on a weekly basis the potential customer revenue amounts, status on each opportunity, probability on closing each sale, key decision makers involved, and next steps to close each sale.
  7. Develop and initiate winning sales strategies that build long term relationships with customers that result in continual, ongoing sales opportunities.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or other related focus with 1-2 years of relevant and progressive inside sales experience.
  2. High understanding and comfort level in communicating and presenting online, subscription-based products – especially in a remote capacity.
  3. Energetic, engaging, and outstanding communication and presentation skills (written and oral). Highly creative and ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on achieving results.
  4. Ability to quickly and creatively solve problems.
  5. Self directed, achieving results with little oversight.
  6. Knowledge and/or experience using a CRM is a plus.
