Job description

The primary duties include organizing and prioritizing clients to be seen by psychiatrist/Suboxone physician, review and sign lab-work: reporting any abnormal results to doctor, attending treatment team, obtaining and transcribing of physician orders, prior authorization for medications and med teaching, inform doctor of any new admits to ensure initial psychiatric/Suboxone evaluation completed, After each visit – document in progress note and schedule next visit. Copies of psychiatric/Suboxone progress notes, labs, psych evaluations and other appropriate paperwork are given to counselor. Originals remain on chart. Ensure HCG results are obtained before beginning any meds. Follow proper consent procedures.  Coordinate with treatment team of any medication changes, physical, emotional and behavioral changes while in treatment. Other duties: nursing assessments, level of care assessment, treatment plans, medication administration, vitals, obtaining urine samples, knowledge of Suboxone protocols, assisting medical doctor as needed, provide dual/medical lectures and other duties as assigned.

Profile: (Knowledge/Professional/Technical Competencies)

Strong background in D&A and Co-occurring Disorders, knowledge of HIPAA laws, Confidentiality, state licensing regulations, CPR and First Aide, other trainings as required.

Experience:

Psych experience preferred.   Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP)
