Job description
Wesley Homes Des Moines campus is currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Assisted Living team. This is an On-Call position that may work a variety of days, evenings and night shifts.
The LPN is responsible for coordinating the total care of a designated number of residents on their assigned unit and shift and evaluating and supervising the Certified Nursing Assistants who perform direct nursing care delivery to the residents. This position promotes harmonious relationships among residents, resident families and nursing personnel, and other health practitioners. The LPN keeps the Assisted Living Manager apprised of all problems occurring on the assigned unit keeping with Wesley Homes Health Center’s policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Minimum of 6 months LPN experience preferred.
- Previous experience working in boarding home environment preferred.
- Mental Health Training Certificate required.
- Dementia Training Certificate required.
- Current CPR (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Current Food Handlers Permit (must be obtained within two weeks of hire)
- Must be able to pass WATCH and DSHS background checks.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to provide 3 professional references.
