Mather Lifeways is looking for a Restaurant Cook to work in our MPWI kitchen in Wilmette, IL. This position is part-time at 11 hours per a week. This role will work according to standards while providing the timely preparation of quality food for customers, using safe food handling principles.Responsibilities:

• Prepares and serves quality food according to recipe standards, demonstrating kitchen sanitation practices to ensure a fresh quality product.
• Prepares standard portions and plate presentations and monitors food temperatures
• Compiles with production standards and menu cycles
• Complies with sanitation procedures as set by MLW and Illinois Dept of Health to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen

Mather LifeWays requires at least 1 -3 years of ala carte/line cooking experience with basic knowledge and understanding of cooking techniques, ability to communicate with supervisor, co-workers and customers. Must be able to follow standardized recipes. Ability to operate kitchen equipment and also have a current sanitation certification.
