POSITION SUMMARY: The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment and property to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strong knowledge of industrial machine repair
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant’s facility equipment
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment including CNC Lathes, Horizontal and Vertical machining centers, Bridgeport Mills, Press Brake, Shear and other general industrial repair
Perform mechanic tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic
Perform electrical installation and repair of 240/460 volt
Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 60 lbs regularly
Work at heights
Work in hot/cold environments
Walk/stand for long periods
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
5+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and industrial skills, with some PLC experience and MU
Ability to read complex electrical diagrams and install/repair 240/460 volt
