MSI’s National Marketing team is in need of a Media Manager in Atlanta, GA to manage and execute PR, Marcom and social media communications for the Company. Reporting to the Director Marketing and Digital Marketing, the Media Manager will be a highly motivated marketer and storyteller who works well in a team environment and has a strong PR, Marketing Communications and Social marketing background. In this role, the Media Manager should be able to develop and leverage PR contacts and utilize marketing skills to develop, execute and optimize various communications across print, PR, digital and social channels. Find creative, breakthrough ways to make brand messages stand out. This includes continuous development of relationships with media and influencers (both traditional press and social media/digital audiences), and working with National Marketing and our management team to achieve strategic goals.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:

  • Develop relationships with relevant media, PR and industry contacts and publishers, builds and nurtures those relationships to increase awareness and engagement of MSI and its products

  • Managing and executing posts and campaigns of MSI Social media communities on all Social channels on a day-to-day basis. These include Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Houzz, Youtube and Instagram (future)

  • Plan, manage and execute print advertising and digital publisher advertising for the company

  • Maintain an understanding of all aspects of social media platforms (including engagement, costs, paid media, etc.) and a desire to stay abreast of media platform evolution and trends. Understanding PAID social will be critical in this position.

  • Understand MSI brand’s positioning and brand “voice” to maintain consistency of message and positioning across communication channels

  • Conduct market and competitive research as needed to identify opportunities for coverage of MSI by relevant media outlets and across our publisher ecosystem

  • Support and assist in managing content calendar, publisher partner placements for print and digital, overall ad budgets and budget pacing

  • Work with members of the team to develop and execute print, PR, and targeted display media campaigns

  • Manage company press releases, ongoing company blog posts and weekly Social posts across MSI Social Channels

  • Assist in writing copy for marketing emails, internal/external communications and presentations as needed

  • Work closely with the Director Marketing and Digital Marketing and Content Marketing Specialist to align marketing campaigns with PR, print, digital and social strategies

  • Execute a business-to-business social media strategy on appropriate social media platforms – to include specific campaigns to help bring awareness and leverage the company’s products and tools to its target audiences

  • Execute the social media calendar aligned with MSI National Marketing’s overall Integrated Content Calendar

  • Grow social media following, user communities and influencers through concepting and executing social branding and tactical campaigns

  • Develop new contacts within the Surfaces industry and works to maintain existing contacts

  • Stay on top of evolving industry trends/news to ensure MSI’s campaigns remain relevant

  • Performs Media analysis on all campaigns

  • Develop planning/buying/optimization strategies for maximizing media dollars

  • Track media spend/pacing, and maintain media budgets/media spend summary

    Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications or related field

  • Four + years of experience in Advertising/Marketing and Public Relations

  • 4+ years proven working experience in public relations

  • 3+ years experience managing print advertising campaigns with media and industry publications

  • 4+ years experience directly managing paid and corporate earned media campaigns through GDN, PRNewswire, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and/or other publishers

  • Solid understanding of B2C and B2B marketing, PR and social media

  • Experience in developing and executing paid advertising campaigns on Facebook, Google and Ad Publisher Partner platforms

  • Ability to balance more traditional PR tactics (press releases, media alerts, pitching, media tours and one-on-one interview management) with social media/digital channels, including Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and print media advertising

  • Excellent content and communications skills – written, verbal and visual

  • Strong project and time management skills

    ‪‪Required Experience:

  • ‪5 years experience in managing PR, print and digital campaigns

  • 4-5 years of working in PR, print and social media; preferably for the business-to-business market

  • Established relationships with industry influencers and reporters (broadcast, print and online)

  • Social Media Campaign experience required

  • Knowledge in Social media listening and social management platforms e.g. Sprinklr, Trackmaven, Hootsuite, etc

  • Proven track record of growing and building social media audiences

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

  • Ability to own and manage multiple projects a nd deliverables, with excellence, in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have an inquisitive mind and thirst for learning

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong presentation skills
