Job description

The Commercial Market Manager will actively establish the strategic direction for Mfg Reps & Wholesale Distribution in an effort to gain market share. This role will be guided and will report to the Regional Sales Director. Required to create annual strategic business plans, develop regional project tacking logs, and build strong relationships with engineers, contractors, owners, and distributors. The role is to manage the business for long term year over year growth.

Specific Duties:

  • Develop annual, quarterly and monthly sales plans for a clear strategy to execute in the markets of responsibility.
  • Entry into Salesforce.com for the regional market for tracking for projects, contractors, engineers and contact names in the commercial areas.
  • Pursue engineers, owners, & facility engineering and develop long term relationships. Attend association meetings and events.
  • Must have the ability to present products to engineers, owners and contractors via power point and/or through a detailed conversation.
  • Mechanically inclined and has an understanding of various valves and piping systems to discuss applications. A willingness to learn and develop product knowledge and understand competitive products.
  • Understanding the market and market trends to report up to management.
  • Willingness to travel daily and some overnights.

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent in business,  marketing, or mechanical engineering or related field experience required
  • 4+ years of sales experience with in a related field

  
Skills Required:

  • The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak and present well in public is required
  • General computer skills required. Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Strong leadership characteristics
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required
