Position Summary

 

The Registration Manager works with clients to identify and document business requirements for registration websites.  Function as primary contact and resource for client-related product features, enhancements and new development issues. Manage small to large projects and software implementations in a client-facing role.  Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff; communicate with project teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule.  Develop and maintain those schedules to effectively allocate resources.

Essential Functions

1.       Act as event team leader on complex projects by seeing them to completion

2.       Manage the entire project from strategic planning to tactical activities.

3.       Communicate team responsibilities, target dates, project status and resource needs.

4.       Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality.

5.       Maintain action items for teams across multiple departments and ensure all requirements are met in a timely structured fashion.

6.       Manage the priorities of the team in alignment with the other priorities from other teams and ensure that all are successfully driven to completion. 

7.       Make decisions and communicate trade-offs and risk; drive key decisions across projects.

8.       Navigate an array of client relationships, project timelines, feature sets, dependencies, and launches.

9.       Develop trusted relationships with your team and clients, listen actively to their concerns and questions in order to better respond and understand their perspectives.

10.    Maintain a positive, can-do attitude, acknowledge and appreciate teammate’s contributions and contribute to the overall culture.

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to coordinate service and client teams to ensure a successful project
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management and others outside the organization.
  • Provide direction and support to team members
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.
  • Strong documentation skills and good attention to detail.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills

Technical Background

  • Demonstrated ability as a project manager in a high-tech setting, leading cross-functional teams using formal planning and scheduling techniques
  • Competent in project  management methodology and tools
  • Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development.
  • Web savvy and possess a working understanding/experience in SDLC including strategy, requirements, design, usability, content development, web development, and QA.
  • Have experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Workforce, etc.

Experience

  • Minimum of five years of project management experience in a high-tech setting, understanding of software development lifecycle and advanced project management skills and scheduling techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in running software related web projects in a fast paced services organization. 
  • Demonstrated history of strong leadership and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to effectively assimilate and communicate complex information from multiple sources and proven ability of successful cross-functional team collaboration is required.
  • Experience managing, communication and building relationships with clients and across teams.
  • Experience with requirements gathering initiatives
  • Professional services (consulting) company experience preferred.

Education

  • BS/BA, MS
  • PMP or other Project Management certification from recognized institution a plus or equivalent relevant work experience.
