Test Manager
Position Description
CGI is looking for an experienced Test Manager to join our team in the Bay Area. This is a full-time career opportunity with an exciting project. You will work with testing professionals to support our clients needs. Your future duties and responsibilities
In this management role you will ensure the team works towards completing the tasks at hand. As apart of the CGI team onsite at the client you will work as the liaison to handle the testing environment with your team.
- Coordinate multiple test projects to insure completion according to scope and schedule with offshore teams.
- Create a supportive team environment that fosters collaboration, cooperation, and creativity.
- Empower staff to solve problems, take initiative, and make independent decisions within a defined, flexible, and logical QA process.
- Work with the team to identify, develop, and formalize QA and Automation development best practices for contribution to the wider QA organization.
- Drive progress towards organization goals at the direction of senior management.
- Balance deployment of resources between projects as necessary.
- Provide staff supervision and day-to-day management..
- Perform Test Planning and Strategy activities
- Responsible for Metrics and Reporting of progress, issues, and risks to senior management. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 7+ years of industry experience in Project Management, Software Development, or Quality Assurance.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
- Completion a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited four-year university is preferred but not required.
- Strong people management skills..
- Experience working on web, SaaS, and multi-tier web service applications.
- Strong understanding of software engineer and SDLC methodologies.
- Ability to quickly understand and gain domain expertise in highly complex existing applications and architectures.
