Job Summary:

We are looking for a Marketing Communication Specialist to join our team of geoscientists, earthquake engineers, and information technologists. The Marketing Communication Specialist will work under the direction of the OSS Vice President. This Marketing Communication Specialist should be prepared to work in a highly dynamic environment and to drive audience focused marketing programs and a product-related strategy for OASIS+.

You love the art of crafting value propositions, messaging, and positioning. You never grow tired of driving demand through innovative marketing programs. You have a talent for grasping and translating technical capabilities into benefits. Not just a cultural fit, but can bring something new to the way things are traditionally done, you always look to do things that solve business challenges.

Essential Functions:

  • Product Positioning – Identify key channels and build strategies specific to target market personas (building owners, property managers, engineers, contractors, architects, etc.). Create messaging that drives urgency to act on implementing our solution.
  • Marketing Communications – Communicate product features/capabilities in terms and categories that customers understand, care about, and become motivated to purchase. Collaborate with the product, support, and engineering teams to understand the value any new features brings to the market.
  • Content Marketing – Create compelling marketing content to support go-to-market efforts (including presentations, videos, blog posts, app release notes, features, landing pages, sales collateral, etc.) and use channels like email, social, in-app messages, etc. to get the message in front of the right people.
  • Sales Enablement – Collaborate with sales to create general and target specific sales collateral including presentations and pitch-decks.
  • Customer Success – Work with product, sales, and support teams to develop an onboarding program to educate customers on product capabilities and use, best practices for user adoption, and how product aligns with customer’s business objectives.
  • Web Content Management – Manage the corporate and product website so that it maintains the integrity of the intended user experience (UX), draws people in with well-written content, and follows SEO best-practice methodologies.
  • Marketing Events – Develop trade show plans and representative materials that inform about OASIS+ at venues such as user groups, industry events and technology partner events.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to create highly compelling marketing collateral – presentations, brochures, papers, explainer videos, customer testimonial videos, case studies, etc.
  • Excellent people skills with capability to interact with cross-functional team and third parties.
  • Self-starter with a positive, energetic, and motivated personality.
  • Know how to help sales cultivate customer relationships and references that can be leveraged across the sales cycle.
  • Ability to think strategically about product positioning and marketing.
  • Ability to recognize market trends and leverage them in our marketing.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing engineering and/or business continuity products.
  • Preferred marketing experience within one of following commercial markets: building owners, developers, property managers, facilities managers, mechanical/electrical consulting firms, or builders/contractors.

Education:

  • BA in marketing or equivalent business experience/education.
