Position Summary

Callen-Lorde is seeking an experienced, dedicated medical clinician (MD, DO, NP) to join our team in providing both HIV and primary care services to a panel of diverse patients.  Working with a close-knit group of colleagues, the medical provider maintains a high degree of professional competence and functions as a reliable member of a patient care team.

Work Schedule/Salary/Benefits

Callen-Lorde’s main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday. This is a full-time position that will require three morning and daytime shifts, two evening shifts, and occasional Saturdays.  Salary will depend on experience and will be accompanied by a comprehensive package including an exceptional no cost medical plan option for you, your domestic partner and/or your family, dental insurance, vision insurance, no cost life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, Flexible Spending Account, TransitChek, a generous paid time off plan, and a 403B retirement savings plan.  Providers are also eligible to apply for NHSC’s loan forgiveness program.

Qualifications

  • New York State Certification/Licensure and current New York State Registration (MD, DO, or NP)
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • HIVMA or AAHIVM certification
  • 2+ years of experience in providing HIV primary care.  
  • Experience in sexually transmitted infection screening, treatment, and education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LGBT health related concerns and experience in providing medical care in LGBT communities
  • Commitment to community based health care services
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Commitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde.
