Field Solar Consultant

Sunrun Inc, is looking for passionate, high energy, quota-driven salespeople to pioneer the role of Solar Sales Consultant.
The Field Solar Consultant will earn a generous base salary plus commission while working in a friendly, fun, high-energy work culture.
The Field Solar Consultant will have a significant impact on Sunrun’s monthly sales performance, working to acquire new customers, and maximize the customer purchasing experience.
The Field Solar Consultant will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and will work closely with Regional Market Managers and Sunrun’s Retail Channel Team to develop leads and new customers.
Responsibilities:
- Go on in-home sales appointments to close new business and provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Run up to 10 in-home appointments per week
- Self-generate business, prospect for new business.
- Master the delivery of Sunrun’s value proposition and competitive positioning.
- Provide Sunrun’s and our Sales Management Team with reports, analysis and recommendations to continuously improve the performance of our sales efforts.
- Visit Sunrun’s retail sales outlets to support Sunrun Retail Partnerships, evaluate in-store setups, and drive improvements to customer experience.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2+ years of direct sales experience in a highly competitive environment
- Solar sales experience is helpful but not required for success
- In-home sales experience is helpful but not required for success
- High competency with computer programs is required
- Consumer and/or retail sales experience is helpful
- Travel 75-80% within a local defined region
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization with indirect accountability to multiple stakeholders
- Experience with salesforce.com or similar CRM system is helpful
