Description

Local Project Specialists (LPSs) are responsible for initiating conversation with Lowe’s customers to understand if they have [home improvement] projects that would be suitable for contractors and collecting the customer’s information if so.

Responsibilities

  • Be the face of the Porch brand in your market by actively initiating conversation with homeowners who come into Lowe’s to find out which of those individuals may be working on a project that Porch could help them find a contractor for.
  • Form a strong relationship with Lowe’s associates who will act as a referral source for you when homeowners approach them throughout the store about projects they may need help with.
  • Maintain a good relationship with your Lowe’s manager.
  • Your goal is to collect 20 UPRs each day you work. Early on in your career at Porch, this may take 80-100 conversations with homeowners each day. However, as you continue to develop your skillset, the number of conversations required to achieve your goal of 20 UPRs will decrease.

Requirements

  • Have your own cell phone and means of transport
  • Required weekend and evening hours – expected to work a minimum of 4 hours on Friday and 8 hours each day on Saturday and Sunday
  • 100% commission based compensation model
  • Willingness to travel to your assigned Lowe’s store which may be up to 30 miles each way.

  • You enjoy helping and communicating with people you may not know, and have the ability to approach those people to engage them in conversation.
  • You are able to work independently without being provided regular direction.
  • You thrive in a goal orientated environment where there is an expectation of delivering results, removing road blocks and always raising the bar higher.
  • You communicate clearly. You write well. You can explain just about anything to anyone and you’re comfortable communicating in writing, on the phone and in person.
