THIS POSITION IS EMPLOYED THROUGH PARRISH MEDICAL GROUP General Description Under the clinical supervision of the sponsoring physician and administrative supervision of the Executive Director of Physician Practices, NBMS Practice Management, the ARNP/PA provides professional/quality health care services to patient according to established ARNP/PA standards and practices. Augment a physician's ability to provide medical services to patients; collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations and provide direct patient care services. Key Responsibilities - Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physician in diagnosing neurological and psychiatric problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care; record the normal and abnormal data for review by the physician overlapping the practice of medicine under Standardized Procedure Guidelines, as set forth in the Florida Nurse Practice Act. - Perform patient rounds, transcribe patient histories, conduct physical examinations, write/dictate progress notes and discharge summaries, prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings, and assume responsibility for developing therapeutic relationships with patients. - Order, initiate, transcribe and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient. - Carry out therapeutic procedures such as psychotherapy; monitor progress of patients, report progress to supervising physician and maintain record of each patient's progress, consulting with supervising physician when patient's progress does not meet anticipated and/or predetermined criteria.- Current State of Florida ARNP Licensure or PA licensure required- BCLS required, CCRP required- ACLS preferred, prefer certification in Oncology & Cardiac Care- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, requiredEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
