This role will be accountable for the successful execution and implementation of global, strategic, patient-centric initiative(s) within our Government Affairs and Policy organization. This role will be an integral partner for Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in the achievement of our “As One for Patients” mission and vision. This person will partner with the VP, Global Patient Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships as well as other senior leadership in Government Affairs and Policy and as well as Communications. He/she will serve as a bridge to our external service providers and agencies (communications agencies, research agencies, consulting firms) as well as the senior leadership and staff of patient organizations worldwide. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITESResponsible for managing global strategic projects, serves as the project manager on key programsWorks cross-functionally to execute tactical plansCoordinates the placing of senior leadership in key external engagements for the companyInitiates and maintains partnerships with key external stakeholders (caregiver organizations, medical societies, patient organizations, etc.)Represents EMD Serono / Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany at key events.
