Job Summary:

Seeking a self-starting, highly motivated and goal oriented carpentry project manager with knowledge of turnkey residential framing, specifically for single and multifamily homes. Able to read, understand, and review architectural plans to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality and control. Requires a very organized and systematic approach to guarantee a quality product.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews job specifications and blueprints to determine construction requirements and communicates this information to all relevant parties assigned to the job site
  • Understands material and equipment needs for projects and coordinates their delivery at each phase of the project
  • Coordinates and supervises all framing activities and keeps project manager and subcontractors informed as changes occur in the field to ensure deadlines. Conducts regular quality inspections of trade work, determines that installments are per job specifications, and makes corrections when necessary
  • Consistently monitors subcontractors’ performance and provides feedback to the project manager
  • Ensures change orders are worked into the execution of the project
  • Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
  • Promotes job safety, encourages safe work practices, performs safety meetings and rectifies job site hazards immediately
  • Produces and retains field reports and documentation. Supervises completion of punch lists, closes out all job sites, files notes and documentation, and cleans up the job site at completion of project
  • Maintains an organized job site. Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees
  • Able to manage multiple projects, prepare schedules and supervise project completion
  • Maintains composure, professionalism and objectivity in difficult situations and effectively resolves conflicts without escalating tension
  • Demonstrates confidence in spotting construction productivity issues and taking action to resolve them before the project is negatively impacted

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in residential framing
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management/construction science or 5+ years of relevant experience in a senior level superintendent role
  • Must be proficient in reading and understanding plans, specifications, drawings and project schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • OSHA-10 (required within 30 days of employment), OSHA-30 and First-Aid/CPR certifications preferred
  • Demonstrates professionalism, able to meet deadlines and works well under pressure
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of carpentry, materials, resource allocation, construction tools, and execution according to plan specifications
  • Embraces technology and is able to use it in ways that support project success and client satisfaction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Valid driver’s license is required with a clean record
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
