The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) is a division of the City of Charlotte that leads in destination development, marketing and venue management expertise. Brands supported by the CRVA include the Charlotte Convention Center, Time Warner Cable Arena, Bojangles’ Coliseum, Ovens Auditorium, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte Regional Film Commission and Visit Charlotte in conjunction with the region’s destination marketing brand, ‘Charlotte’s got a lot.’

The CRVA is funded via local hotel and motel occupancy taxes and a 1% prepared food and beverage tax as well as the revenue created by each of its brand divisions.

Job Summary

The Facility Operations Worker keeps the building in a clean and orderly condition and works to set up and break down rooms for events at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Convention Center.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sets up table and chairs, and assists with building stages.
  • Breaks down table, chairs, and stages post-event.
  • Maintains the facility, performing general routine cleaning and maintenance that includes but not limited to sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming hallways, stairs and office space empties trash and garbage containers.
  • Notifies management concerning need for general repairs with issues pertaining to lighting, heating, ventilating and equipment.
  • Communicates daily with management and team via two-way radio throughout scheduled work time.
  • Provides excellent customer service to our clients at all times.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • May perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. At least six months of prior janitorial or housekeeping experience is preferred.
