As a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist in Hematology you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. AstraZeneca's vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing six new cancer medicines to patients between 2013 and 2020. A broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused principally on four disease areas - breast, ovarian, lung and hematological cancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through four key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates, underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies. Main Duties and Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for all sales activities for the AstraZeneca Hematology portfolio of products to physicians within a defined geographic territory. The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with key AZ Oncology team members to achieve business goals and targets. All members of our Hematology team will actively seek to discover and meet the needs of internal and external customers by building relationships, identifying strategic business opportunities and delivering innovative solutions. You will be asked to demonstrate strong business ethics, maintain a high level of clinical expertise, understand and interpret data to ensure a strategic approach to identification of opportunities, and leverage all resources available to make sound business decisions. We are seeking seasoned Hematology/Oncology professionals with an entrepreneurial spirt and drive to help build our US Hematology team and deliver on business goals. Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree A minimum of 6 years of successful pharmaceutical sales, with a minimum of 2 years in Hematology. Understanding of US reimbursement environment for Oncology products History of building and influencing customer relationships, and goal achievement Demonstrated clinical selling skills and business acumen in competitive selling environment Individual must demonstrate entrepreneurialism, nimbleness, flexibility and team spirit * A valid driver's license and safe driving record No company relocation assistance provided.
