Market Share Strategist
Job Description:
As a Market Share Strategist, you will independently manage your own territory, selling our proprietary digital marketing technology and support services to automotive dealerships. This is a true hunter sales role. While you will have marketing support, your success is dependent on your ability to be self managing and proactive, opening doors for new sales opportunities. You MUST be comfortable at balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution, while working independently, sorting through problems, identifying challenges, coming up with solutions. and adjusting to sudden and frequent change. You should also be extremely confident, competitive, and persuasive, with a need to "win". You should NOT be dependent on others for your success. You will work with inbound and outbound opportunities to grow our market share in your territory. Your job is to establish and maintain the relationship, our job is to make sure they succeed. We’ll provide you with ongoing training to establish you as an authority on data-driven automotive digital advertising.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with your Manager to meet and/or exceed monthly/quarterly goals for closing of new business
Communicate with management about obstacles and challenges with current and potential customers
Proactively prospect through multiple touch points (on-site, phone, email) to franchise and independent automotive dealership management personnel
Uncover new prospects through independent research and data collection
Host sales webinars with potential customers
Address and overcome prospect objections
Uncover needs of potential customers and present solutions
Develop data-driven proposals for potential customers
Execute the sales, transition and service strategy for each prospect
Provide support to the customer throughout the sales process
Retain existing business, by maintaining client relationships throughout their product/service lifecycle
Maintain strong product knowledge on all assigned products and solutions
Successfully complete yearly product and systems knowledge exams
Participate in sales team meetings as required
Record and document all activities, as outlined in the sales process, within the CRM
Utilize CRM to accurately and effectively track activity, and update lead, opportunity information and account information
Ensure that weekly and monthly reports (sales pipeline, target account development, expenses) are satisfactorily completed in a timely fashion
Requirements
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; College Degree is preferred
Automotive Vendor Sales Experience a Plus
Previous outside sales, business to business (b2b) sales experience
Previous telecommuting and time-tracking experience a plus
Experience with relevant software applications (Microsoft Office, CRM, Expense Reporting tools, online video conferencing, etc)
Abilities and Skills:
Proven experience, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining focused on many details is required
Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), virtual demonstration software, and communication tools required
Proven experience and ability to build and maintain cross-departmental, multi-functional and collaborative relationships required
Demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, phone, and interpersonal) required
Proven experience and ability to analyze customer problems and trends to offer suggestions and recommendations for improvement and success required
Demonstrate short learning curve for understanding and adopting new digital tools
