Job description

Milacron's DME business is seeking candidates for the role of Regional Sales Manager. This role will manage our Sales territories in the Southwest US: Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas . Qualified candidates can live in any of these states as long as they can travel as appropriate.

This role is directly responsible for attaining and exceeding the sales and business development goals of the assigned sales region through the development and execution of business development strategies, development and leadership of sales staff, and management of their assigned KPI's and all sales activities in the region.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate well with all levels including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing / production personnel, as well as management.

Travel is required within the assigned territory with some overnights.

Duties include:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans in conjunction with the Director of Sales, NA to accommodate the regional goals in terms of sales objectives, including strategies relating to specific market segment, industry segment penetration and target accounts.
  • Conduct research for existing and new markets, and for the regional competitive situation.
  • Develop and execute regional development plants to reach specified growth targets and objectives.
  • Coordinate the launch of new product lines in the region through close coordination with Product Management, Operations and DME staff -- identify product refinements, develop and train sales team on selling strategies, assist in the development of pricing structures and launch plans, work closely with Product Management to assure proper support is in place.
  • Oversee and direct the activities of the region's sales staff -- manage sales staff activities, set and monitor goals, assist with priority setting, ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Repreent DME at trade shows and association meetings to promote company and product.
  • Meet with key clients regularly, delivering sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives, maintaining effective relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Develop and execute processes to liaise between the region's sales representatives and internal departments.
  • Develop and maintain regional sales forecasts and submit monthly as required to the VP of Sales; direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors' Degree
  • Must have experience in the Plastics injection or blow molding industries
  • 8-10 years Sales and Business Development experience
  • Must have experience developing and leading Sales teams
  • Ability to manage projects involving multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with process, product, quality and results improvements using various continuous improvement programs
