Hartgrove Behavioral Health System is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to work with children, adolescents and adults within our nursing department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a stable and growing behavioral health organization in the Chicagoland community. A Registered Nurse at Hartgrove Hospital provides professional nursing care in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital. Registered Nurses prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care by integrating the nursing processes into our multidisciplinary treatment team’s plan of care. A Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities, maintaining all required records, and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practices on the unit. A Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.

We offer shift differentials and retention bonus for our Registered Nurses.

Requirements

Education: Graduate from a professional nursing program.
Experience: One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Knowledge/Skills: Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and have CPR training. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is customer focused. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus!

Hartgrove is a Joint Commission approved and state licensed facility focused on short-term crisis stabilization programs. We provide fully accredited educational programs, comprehensive Behavioral Health services, along with an array of additional services, while utilizing a holistic treatment approach.
