Gaudenzia

1001 to 5000 employees

Gaudenzia was founded in 1968 by a group of distinguished business, political, community leaders and people in recovery. Recognizing that a growing number of individuals suffering from alcohol and drug abuse were unable to find help, a residential treatment program was established to put people on the path to drug-free recovery.

From very humble beginnings in a single facility, Gaudenzia has grown to 147 programs at 76 facilities throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Now admitting into treatment about 20,000 clients annually, Gaudenzia offers comprehensive addiction treatment and recovery services. We serve adolescents, pregnant/parenting women, co-occurring individuals (mentally ill and substance abusing), HIV/AIDS symptomatic individuals and homeless individuals.

Gaudenzia helps individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol dependency, mental illness and related conditions to achieve a better quality of life and become accountable individuals.

This is accomplished through a continuum of care leading to long-term recovery guided by a philosophy of mutual concern, personal responsibility, research and community education.
